The College ministry at First Baptist Church Sanger is a small but loving group that cares for the college age students.  We are here to get to know you better, minister to you, and lead you closer to God.  

Bible Studies
Like the rest of FBC Sanger we meet each Sunday morning at 9:30am for Bible study.  During this time, we study different topics that apply to college age students, and they can take what is discussed and apply it to their lives and walk closer to God.

Along with the Sunday morning Bible study, we have other opportunities throughout the year for students to concentrate on what God is telling them through Bible study.

Activities
Focus
Focus is a worship, and equipping experience for college students, high school seniors, and adults who work with college students.  Each year the college ministry at FBC Sanger takes a group to the Focus conference.  This conference occurs in the Fall and is a great way for students to get excited about sharing their faith on their campuses.  

In 2008, there are going to be three different Focus conferences, one in Tyler, San Antonio, and Lubbock.  The FBC College group will be going to the conference in Tyler with the Baptist Student Ministry at University of North Texas on September 5-6.    

If students are not able to attend Focus with us, we encourage them to contact the BSM on their campus for the Focus conference that they will be attending.

College weekend
During the summer we like to dedicate a weekend to the college students.  We try to get away from the busy schedule that everyone has and spend a weekend welcoming the recent high school graduates into our ministry, and prepare everyone to walk through the upcoming year with God.

Other activities
We are continually looking for activities that we can do that will bring the college ministry at FBC Sanger closer to each other and to God.  Some of the activities we have done in the past are..

- Fort Worth Cats (minor league) baseball game.

- Sunday evening at a church member home. Playing games and eating snacks.

- Day at the lake. Skiing, kayaking, swimming and of course eating.

- Halloween party with pumpkin carving contest.

- Bowling

And much more.

If you are a college age student, or if you know someone who is, we would enjoy meeting him or her and having him or her join us.  Together we can support each other and walk through this life together worshiping God.
