One day an employee came into work with both of his ears bandaged. When his boss asked him what happened, he explained, "Yesterday I was ironing a shirt when the phone rang and I accidentally answered the iron instead of the phone!" "Well," the boss said, "that explains one ear, but what about the other?" "They called back!"
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
I almost feel like I’m calling back since I was just thanking God for God’s Table. And I know this is talking about spiritual fruit, but I’m so excited about a new ministry in our church that we hope will bear much spiritual fruit as well as actual fruit. God’s Garden will be a Community Garden that gives people the opportunity to work and benefit from their work. It will give believers the opportunity to minister to others, fellowship, and invest in others by teaching them what they know about gardening, all for the glory of God. We hope it will also provide fresh food for God’s Table and those in need in our church and community.
I will be posting needs that we have along the way if you would like to support this new ministry. I am also asking our members to pray that God will use this ministry beyond what we could ever dream for His glory.
A big thank you to the Food Services Team! We appreciate all of your hard work and efforts to make the Thanksgiving lunch wonderful.
