For the past year and a half, I have heard Riley Purnell and others talk about One Mission Ministries in Matamoros, Mexico. The passion of Riley and others for this mission work catches your attention and gets one excited to hear more. This weekend, we have the privilege of learning more about One Mission Ministries. Pastor Abraham Barberi will bring our message on Sunday morning. I am excited to hear his message, and ways we can continue to support this great mission endeavor.

One Mission Ministries comprises a multitude of mission work. They focus on the area around Matamoros, a city hit hard by the drug cartels and the violence that goes along with them. This ministry works to bring the Gospel to an area ripe to hear and rejoice in God’s work. Make sure to join us Sunday to worship, celebrate God’s work and then enjoy some great food and fellowship. Remember to bring your favorite Tex-Mex dish to share with others. If you are wondering how much food to bring, here is a good rule of thumb: bring enough to feed your family and also to share with others. We will have guests at the service and want to make sure we have enough food for those who did not come prepared for a potluck. We will also be collecting an offering at the potluck to further the work of One Mission Ministries. We get the opportunity to fellowship, eat and be part of furthering God’s Work around the world!
