Last week I introduced you to the idea of a Vision Team for FBC Sanger. I want to remind you that this will be a lengthy process, one which is just beginning. You will receive a request, in your Connection Bible Study group, to nominate a member to serve on this team. The Committee on Committees will speak to your class and distribute more information about the Vision Team and the qualities of people we are hoping to add to this team. Start praying for God to prepare the four individuals who will join the Pastoral Staff on this team.

So what will this Vision Team actually do? We will look back at our history, examine our present and look forward to the future. This team will examine the Scriptures to grasp the biblical imperatives for the church, study demographic trends to glimpse where Sanger is headed in terms of growth and work to decipher where God is leading FBC Sanger in the next three to five years. We will be looking at facilities, church governing structure and simply how we operate in making decisions. This team will pray together, discuss together and plan together. Because this group will look to the past, present and future we need to ensure a wide diversity of members. I look forward to seeing what God has planned for this great church. Let’s commit to praying for God to make our next steps clear.
