This Sunday we will be observing the Lord’s Supper. I encourage you to spend time this week taking a spiritual inventory. Read 1 Corinthians 11:17-32 as a preparation for Sunday. Ask God to cleanse your life from all known sin. Pay special attention to any individuals with whom you are not at peace. In working through this question, I occasionally use an exercise in which I focus my mind on Jesus, picturing Him in His glory. As I keep this picture in my mind, I begin to picture anyone with whom I might be in conflict, asking Jesus to help me see exactly what the issue is creating conflict. Personally, this helps me to “see” the issue clearly. Then as I recognize the wrong, I can begin confessing my part in the conflict, first to God, then to the individual. Find a way to examine the interpersonal conflicts in your life and work to make them right.

Fall Festival is almost here. Last year we had over 500 people attend. From talking to people with much more experience with our Fall Festival than me, it looks like this event has grown every year. The Recreation Committee, working with John Guerra, has put together plans to make this year even better. Make sure you get signed up to work. We need people in a multitude of positions from cooking, cleaning up, working games, meeting people, registration and many other places. This event targets roughly 50% of the local Sanger population. Let’s make sure we put our best foot forward.
