This past Sunday we honored the Class of 2018. FBC Sanger played an important role in preparing them for the next chapter of their lives. The church’s role consists of partnering with their parents to assist in the training in righteousness of these young men and women. We provide a place to build on what parents teach their children in how to walk in the path of God. FBC Sanger has played that role for well over 100 years. We have in our midst many who grew up in this church, myself among that number. As our community continues to grow, the role of FBC Sanger must grow with it. This coming weekend, we will welcome our candidate for Associate Pastor: Music. I look forward to seeing how God will use this man to help us reach the people of Sanger with the gospel. Make sure you invest the time this weekend to meet him and be prepared to vote Sunday morning.

Bringing a Music Pastor in for a weekend is different than bringing in a preaching pastor. On Sunday morning, we will join with our candidate and the current worship team to sing and encounter God. A preaching pastor stands by himself and delivers the message God laid on his heart. A music pastor must stand with a group, most of whom he met the day before, and rely on their skill, knowledge and teamwork to draw us to the Throne of God. Be diligent in praying this week for God to move among us this weekend, making His will known clearly.
